Esquires Music Venue in Bedford is an amazing little place.

The venue opened in 1990 and is housed in a converted 19th century chapel. Covering two floors, both floors of the venue are used for live music. On the ground-floor is a pub named Danny’s Bar. The bar is generally a showcase for local bands and musical acts. There is also a nightclub on the ground-floor which mostly specialises in indie and alternative rock music.

Some of the more notable acts to have played include Franz Ferdinand, Muse, The Libertines, The View, and The Feeling, as well as Hip Hop acts such as Skinnyman, Klashnekoff and the legendary KRS-One.

This unique and charming venue was the setting for the BuzzBeatzBarz night on 5th February 2020, the second event to be held under this banner at Esquires in the last 6 months.

BuzzBeatzBarz is the brainchild of 3 individuals from Bedford who are determined to push the local scene as far as it can go by creating a united and cohesive platform for artists to perform on. (s/o Sonny, Loq and Luke)

Hosted by Sonny Black aka Switch, the event featured appearances from 7 of Bedford’s freshest acts, each performing their latest music.

Assisting on the decks was Tizz from The Sound Temple with the night being filmed by Eats Media x Shutterking x The Drip Cam.
